Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Field Assistant to support the District Manager and Researcher in the successful implementation of project activities aimed at identifying and engaging out-of-school children. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in conducting surveys, managing data, and facilitating community engagement to ensure the project’s objectives are met efficiently and effectively. This position requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to upholding organizational policies and safeguarding standards.

Key Responsibilities
– Assist the District Manager and Researcher in executing various project activities, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
– Conduct baseline and household surveys to identify potential schools and out-of-school children within the target communities.
– Provide consistent updates and detailed progress reports to the project team, highlighting key findings and any challenges encountered.
– Enter baseline survey data into designated software systems to facilitate accurate data analysis and reporting.
– Schedule, organize, and facilitate meetings and events, maintaining clear agendas and ensuring smooth coordination among stakeholders.
– Conduct daily field visits to monitor attendance and engagement levels at learning camps, ensuring active participation and identifying any issues.
– Ensure strict adherence to organizational codes of conduct, policies, and compliance with Safeguarding and Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) policies.
– Perform additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager to support overall project success.

Required Qualifications
– Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports under tight deadlines.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with database management systems.
– Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with local government officials and community services.
– Basic data management and IT skills to support data entry and analysis tasks.
– Proven expertise in community mobilization and training, with a solid understanding of government services and administrative structures.
